盆栽工房 春嘉

毎年夏に日差しで葉が焼けてしまい、やや持て余し気味だった琴姫。
葉が極端に小さく矮性種のモミジで、ミニ盆栽、マメ盆栽向きの樹種です。
挿し木が容易で、意外と増えてしまうため、私の棚にもいくつか素材がありました。
今回は、そんな葉が細かすぎてすぐに葉焼けしてしまうこの樹種を、剪定ついでに作ってみましたよ。
作り方は手探りですが、結果的には自然体で穏やかな木ができたんじゃないかな。
さあ、どうやってこの木を持ち込みましょうか。
長く育てられた木を未だ見たことがありません。
Kotohime momiji is a dwarf kind of maple with extremely small leaves, which is suitable for mini or mame bonsai.
At my nursery, the leaves get burnt by the sunlight every summer, making them useless.
This tree species is easy to propagate by cuttings, and I have some materials.
This time, I pruned such difficult tree species and tried to make them into bonsai.
I haven't masterd the method yet, but I think I could make the good tees with a natural feel as a result.
Now, the problem is how to grow them without burning the leaves.
By the way, I have never seen a successful bonsai of this tree species.
